Kwacha down on FDI

COMMERCE Trade and Industry Minister Robert Sichinga says the Kwacha cannot perform well on the market when there is recycling of capital and lack of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). And Mr. Sichinga says the Africa Growth Opportunity Act (AGOA) has not served its purpose, because Zambia does not have the capacity to manufacture goods to export to the United States of America.

THE International Monetary Fund (IMF) says Zambia's current fiscal stance is unsustainable and fundamental reforms are needed to improve the current position.
